Historic Richmond Town mourns Jason Scala, who passed away on April 29. Jason’s dedication and support of this Staten Island educational non-profit saved the landmarked Courthouse from disaster. As Jason's love and dedication to Historic Richmond Town grew he said something we will never forget - he saw himself as an older man doing more volunteer work to help support the restoration mission.

Exterior Restoration Underway at the Edwards-Barton House

Historic Richmond Town’s Edwards Barton House has stood watch through the centuries at the corner of Richmond Road and Court Place as a majestic reminder of vernacular Victorian architecture. The restoration team at New York City’s most complete historic village, led by Historic Craftsmen, Don Defillo, has taken on the task of exterior siding, wood trim and window restoration.
