Winter Activities Provide a Welcome Respite for Visitors
This Winter, Historic Richmond Town launched its first series of Cabin Fever Reliever programs. Adults and families across Staten Island enthusiastically responded to these hands-on offerings intended to break the monotony of the winter doldrums. In February, the Victorian Valentine Workshop used items in the museum collection to inspire participants' own handcrafted creations. Visitors learned about pre-electric lighting and dipped their own wax candles in a sold-out Weekend Candlemaking Workshop in March. The six-week Quilting Class also brought many participants to the village. The success of these programs prove that Historic Richmond Town has something to offer in every season. To all who participated in these programs, thank you for your enthusiasm and support!
