This summer, Historic Richmond Town is thrilled to partner with Carnegie Hall Citywide, a series of free concerts that are sensational celebrations of sounds from across the country and around the globe. At a Carnegie Hall Citywide concert, you can revisit your favorite music or try something new, stay in your home borough or journey farther afield. Whatever you choose, you’ll experience everything that makes New York City so vibrant.
Live from the porch of the General Store on Saturday July 29 at 5:00pm, this concert brings the eclectic music of NYC group Empire Wild to Staten Island.
Empire Wild is a genre-bending, crossover trio featuring classically-trained musicians as a vehicle for their shared love of musical exploration - fusing the sounds of pop, folk, Broadway and more into their songwriting and composition. Empire Wild was selected as an Ambassador Prize winner in the 2020 Concert Artists Guild Victor Elmaleh Competition. The group’s debut EP Paper Seasons features all original songs, highlighting the Trio’s unique sound and instrumentation. Based in NYC, Empire Wild has brought its signature mix of original music, inventive covers, and twists on the classical canon to audiences across the country.
Lead support for Carnegie Hall Citywide is provided by the Howard Gilman Foundation.
