In 2020, Historic Richmond Town's Curatorial Department will begin presenting a series of public programs that will highlight aspects of the Museum's collections and historic structures. The presentations will feature a combination of Curatorial staff and outside experts from a variety of fields, including architecture, archaeology, and fashion design.

EXCITING NEWS!

New details have come to light about Historic Richmond Town's famed Voorlezer house! Join us Sunday, January 26th in the historic Third County Courthouse at 1:00 p.m. for a presentation of the findings led by Architectural Designer Kurt Hirschberg in partnership with the Archaeology Society of Staten Island.

A team led by the prominent historic preservation firm of Jan Hird Pokorny Associates recently completed a Historic Structure Report for the Voorlezer’s House, located on Arthur Kill Road. The team conducted a thorough study of the building and its history, using documentary evidence, archaeological studies, architectural analysis and dendrochronology -- the science of analyzing the patterns of tree rings in the structure’s wood timbers. What they discovered will amaze you!

This program is $5 per person.
