Thousands of Trick or Treaters Enjoy Halloween in Richmond Town!
Sunday, October 28, 2018
Thousands of Trick or Treaters visited New York City’s most complete historic village yesterday to celebrate Halloween in Richmond Town! This yearly event was spiced up with fantastic food from Valducci’s Pizza Truck, Corner House BBQ and of course Egger’s Ice Cream Parlor, liv music and even a magic show! Costumed kiddos bobbed for apples, enjoyed a good old-fashioned hay jump, and made a historic craft to add to their bag of fall goodies! Historical interpreters and crisp fall air, all set against the backdrop of Historic Richmond Town’s main village site. The music of The Wahoo Skiffle Crazies, Autumnal Ales from Flagship Brewery, a magic show, and melty-delicious s’mores made the Tavern Terrace a new favorite spot in Staten Island’s beloved historic village.
In the nostalgic spirit of an old-fashioned community Halloween, visitors enjoyed a safe, fun trick-or-treating experience, while visiting such historic structures as the Third County Courthouse, the County Clerk and Surrogate’s Office, the Stephens House and General Store, and the Guyon-Lake-Tysen farmhouse.
