FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE -

Historic Richmond Town Says Goodbye to President, Kevin Fisher

Staten Island, New York: On July 1, 2010, Kevin Fisher started his tenure on the Board of Directors at Historic Richmond Town. He served as the Treasurer before being elected President in 2014. Besides his tenure at Historic Richmond Town, Kevin has over 30 years of experience in financial services and technology, working at major banks and fintech in New York and London.

Under Kevin Fisher’s leadership Historic Richmond Town saw significant change and growth. Kevin’s 10 years of service has moved Historic Richmond Town into its future. Kevin is leaving the organization because he has completed all nine years of the organization's term limits, including a tenth year to help with the transition of the new CEO, Jessica B. Phillips, hired in 2018. “It was an honor serving on the Board of Historic Richmond Town and the community it serves,” says Historic Richmond Town’s former President, Kevin Fisher.

Kevin’s leadership will be missed but the Board’s new President, Laura Gentile holds great promise. Laura grew up in Richmond Town attending PS 23, St. Patrick’s Catholic School and Notre Dame Academy of Staten Island. She has had her own legal practice for 25 years. Since 1996 she has been teaching law at CUNY School of Law. She has served on Historic Richmond Town’s Board for two years and chaired the Governance & Nominating Committee. “Historic Richmond Town is a brilliant resource for all Staten Islanders and all New Yorkers. Never more than now have we needed to understand our history, support each other, and move forward together. The experiential history lessons offered by Richmond Town on-line today, and in person soon, provide the rich opportunity to learn, grow, and celebrate our neighbors and ourselves. I am proud to be part of the Historic Richmond Town team,” says Historic Richmond Town’s new President, Laura Gentile.
