Crochet Pride

Celebrate Pride Month at Historic Richmond Town!

In 2021, volunteer craftivists created knit and crochet pride yarnworks, which adorned lampposts throughout the Historic Richmond Town campus.

The yarnwork, featuring rainbow and Transgender Pride motifs, has been joined into afghan blankets. The blankets will be accessioned into the Historic Richmond Town collection and donated to the Pride Center of Staten Island at this special event in the Historical Museum.

This event is free to the public, and all are invited to create pride-themed yarn crafts alongside LGBTQIA crafters and allies.
