Tavern Concerts - Fall Season

Fall Tavern Concerts

Saturday Nights this Fall

October & November

$18 | 6:00 pm and 8:00 pm

A variety of musical acts perform in the tavern each season. Solo acts, duos and mid-sized bands present folk songs of the young American Republic, original songs, and modern covers. Tavern Concerts provide an authentic unplugged musical experience true to the taverns of 1820s America; microphones, amplifiers, and other conveniences are absent.

Additional Tavern Concerts return this Fall!

This indoor winter concert series will take place in the newly restored Guyon Tavern, located on Richmond Road. The Tavern boasts a wood-burning stove, flickering candles, live music and the true feel of a 19th century saloon. Beverage options harken back to the period and include hot spiced apple cider, scratch made mulled wine, as well as a refreshing selection of beers.

Restoration projects recently completed at the nearly 200 year old historic Guyon Tavern, repaired damage from a 2017 car accident as well as structural and cosmetic work giving the building a functional tavern space that is true to its 1820s heritage.

PERFORMANCE SCHEDULE

Shows take place Saturday nights at 6:00PM & 8:00PM.

October 22 - The Grassland Band

The Grassland Band is based in New Jersey. The music they play is a mix of traditional bluegrass, very old country, originals, and some well-known songs done bluegrass style. Over all you get a good mix of vocals and songs that do not all sound the same. The band members themselves have a wide variety of talent and come into the group with their own unique backgrounds.

November 5 - Bob Conroy & The Pedersons

Join Bob Conroy, Jean & Norm Pederson for an evening of Traditional American Folk Revival music.

November 12 - Linda Russell

Linda Russell is a singer/songwriter who is also deeply rooted in traditional music. Playing mountain dulcimer and hammered dulcimer, Linda performs a variety of material ranging from early American ballads and love songs to mountain gospels, Irish dance tunes and her own compositions. Linda’s original songs tell of childhood summers, family sing-alongs and the abandoned farmhouses and eccentric characters of her Midwestern past.
