Virtual Summer Camp 

This Summer, Historic Richmond Town is offering a fun and exciting virtual experience. Try your hand at toys and games from America’s past, and learn the time-honored craft of basketmaking. Historical Interpreters will guide daily activities online via Zoom and kits containing supplies and materials will be available for curbside pickup at Historic Richmond Town.

Session 3: Virtual Basketmaking Apprenticeship, July 27-31

10:00am-11:30am
Join Historical Interpreters to learn about basketmaking in colonial and early America. Participants receive a kit containing all the materials and tools to create their own basket by the session’s end.
Ages 10-15
Price: $200 per participant


Members receive a 10% discount on all virtual camp sessions: ($80).

Refund Policy
Before June 29th 2020, you may receive a full refund. On or After June 29th 2020, if you need to cancel before the start of the program, Historic Richmond Town will refund you based on if your enrollment is filled by another participant. Refunds are not issued for partial attendance, or after the program begins. If you must cancel after registering, notify HRT at lboyd@historicrichmondtown.org.

Cancellations 
In the case that an event is cancelled, you will be notified via email.

Photography & Videography
By attending this event, you grant permission to HRT your and your child’s likeness in perpetuity, in all forms of print and digital media used to promote, publicize, or advertise the Garden, its activities, and programs. If you do not give HRT permission to take and use your image, you may opt out of photography and videography when you register. 

Online Etiquette
HRT staff strives to provide a place of peace and safety for the enjoyment of our online audience. Being a new platform for everyone, HRT asks all participants to act in a manner fitting for this new age of online lessons. Please be aware of your surroundings, what you are sharing via your device's camera, and the background of wherever you choose to participate.

FAQs:

• Participants require access to a internet accessible device (phone, tablet, computer) with camera and audio features & stable internet connection

• Our primary online platform will be Zoom

• Families with multiple participants only need one device for lesson(s)

• Appropriate materials for lessons will be safely organized and sent out to families prior to lesson/class date(s)

• Any links / videos / or at home activities will be sent to emails provided in registration prior to lesson(s)

• Any and all questions regarding tech support can be sent to lboyd@historicrichmondtown.org

• If your child has any special needs, please email lboyd@historicrichmondtown.org, and we will work with you & yours to try & provide the best possible learning environment.
