Christmas in Historic Richmond Town holiday spectacular Sponsored by the Richmond County Savings Foundation

Staten Island, New York: Thanks to sponsorship provided by the Richmond County Savings Foundation (RCSF), Historic Richmond Town is proud to present Christmas in Historic Richmond Town on December 10, 11, 17, and 18, 2022.

Fully funded by RCSF, Christmas in Historic Richmond Town 2022 will be a true holiday spectacular where guests of all ages will find themselves immersed in a Dickens-style holiday wonderland as they step back in time at New York City’s most complete living history village. "Richmond County Savings Foundation is very proud to both initiate and sponsor Christmas in Historic Richmond Town.” says RCSF Executive Director, Cesar J. Claro. “We look forward to sharing the two weekends with thousands of visitors celebrating the holiday."

The event is set to be one of Staten Island’s biggest holiday attractions, with the entire village beautifully decorated for the holidays and  centered around a living 40 foot Christmas tree, which will be lit during a tree lighting ceremony on opening night. “After two years of unceremoniously lighting our tree during COVID, we are grateful to receive the generous funding from the Richmond County Savings Foundation to bring this community tradition back on a grand scale.” Says Historic Richmond Town CEO, Jessica B. Phillips. “All are welcome to come and celebrate the changing season with their community in our historic village that will be decked out for the holiday season.”

Also included in the festivities will be a full-scale, holiday-themed activation of Historic Richmond Town’s living history village, complete with historical interpreters and living history demonstrations, an old-fashioned horse drawn carriage, photos with Santa and his helpers, holiday carolers, cookie decorating, a bell choir, hot and tasty eats, shopping for gifts, crafts, and commemorative items from our Holiday Market and Village Store, on-site tradespeople and much more that will bring on the jolly feel of the holiday spirit.

"Because of RCSF's generous funding, this year's Christmas comes to Historic Richmond Town in an unforgettable occasion.” says Historic Richmond Town Director of Business Development, Andrew Andron. “We invite visitors of all ages to celebrate the holidays in the picturesque setting of New York City's oldest living history village."
