Christmas in Historic Richmond Town holiday spectacular Sponsored by the Richmond County Savings Foundation
Staten Island, New York: Thanks to sponsorship provided by the Richmond County Savings Foundation (RCSF), Historic Richmond Town is proud to present Christmas in Historic Richmond Town on December 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2023.
Fully funded by RCSF, Christmas in Historic Richmond Town 2023 will be a true holiday spectacular where guests of all ages will find themselves immersed in a holiday wonderland as they step back in time at New York City’s only living history village. ""Richmond County Savings Foundation is excited to be the host sponsor again this year for Christmas in Historic Richmondtown,” says RCSF Executive Director, Cesar J. Claro. “We encourage all Staten Island families to participate in this great event."
The event is set to be one of Staten Island’s biggest holiday attractions, with the entire village beautifully decorated for the holidays and centered around a living 40 foot Christmas tree, which will be lit during a tree lighting ceremony on opening night. “As the days grow shorter, there is nothing like a stroll through the historic village decked out for the winter holidays to lift your spirits.” Says Historic Richmond Town CEO, Jessica B. Phillips. “One of my favorite features of this event is the horse drawn carriage, but my kids love the snow ball fight field.”
Also included in the festivities will be a full-scale, holiday-themed activation of Historic Richmond Town’s living history village, complete with historical interpreters and living history demonstrations, an old-fashioned horse drawn carriage, photos with Santa and his helpers, holiday carolers, cookie decorating, a bell choir, hot and tasty eats, shopping for gifts, crafts, and commemorative items from our Holiday Market and Village Store, on-site tradespeople and much more that will bring on the jolly feel of the holiday spirit.
