The historic Edwards-Barton-Aquilino House is getting a facelift! Thanks to the Historic House Trust who awarded us a grant to secure paint through a partnership with Benjamin Moore, which is helping us keep the paint as close to the original color as possible. Thanks is due also to the John & Patricia Klingenstein Fund for their support to complete this project with professionalism and expert care.

Hidden inside this unassuming little book is a major clue about life on Staten Island in the days when the Revolutionary War was just beginning. If you're familiar with Staten Island, you'll also recognize many of the other names seen here, including Joseph Guyon, who built and lived in HRT's own Guyon-Lake-Tysen House; the Rezeaus, who lived in HRT's Voorlezer's House; and members of the Totten family, who gave Tottenville its name.

In recent years, Historic Richmond Town embarked on a journey to ensure the historical narrative communicated to the public through our programming is a holistic story of the community. This Summer, Historic Richmond Town's Native Encampment was constructed in the southwest quadrant of the Main Village Campus; which will see its debut at two of our upcoming Fall events.

For more than 10,000 years, the Lenape people lived in the region of Staten Island where Historic Richmond Town now sits. This Summer, a Native American Encampment will be constructed at Historic Richmond Town. The site will feature a wigwam, a dome-like structure and several other structures, which will depict the life of Native people in this area post-European contact.
