Friends of Historic Richmond Town is the membership program of the Staten Island Historical Society.
Historic Richmond Town is a joint project of the Staten Island Historical
Society and the City of New York that supports part of its operations with
public funds through the Department of Cultural Affairs.
The Staten Island Historical Society was originally chartered in 1856 to
"collect and preserve whatever relates to the history of Staten Island."
Today, Historic Richmond Town is a growing, evolving outdoor museum village
interpreting three centuries of daily life and culture on Staten Island.
