Saturday & Sunday: Breakfast from 9:30 am to noon. Lunch from noon to 3 pm.

10th Annual Literacy Leadership Luncheon


Join us as we honor the Staten Island Reading Association at the 10th Annual luncheon, to be held at the Excelsior Grand, 2380 Hylan Blvd. at 12 noon.
Special recognition of FDNY Commissioner Salvatore J. Cassano on his appointment as New York City's 32nd Fire Commissioner, and for his efforts to provide fire safety literature in multiple languages to New York's diverse communities.

Guest speaker will be Jordan Sonnenblick.  The acclaimed author of Drums, Girls & Dangerous Pie, and Zen and the Art of Faking It.  Mr. Sonnenblick studied under Frank McCourt at Stuyvesant High School and spent his childhood on Staten Island.
