Education

Historic Richmond Town offers a variety of school programs based on the New York State curricular standards. Whether a guided tour of selected buildings, an open village tour, a hands-on workshop, or an in-class program, all experiences are designed to make history come alive for students and teachers alike. Please note that offerings follow the seasonal calendar. Rates vary with programs. All programs are booked at (718) 351-1611, extension 280 ( or ).

Please Note:
  • Curriculum tours and Spring Open Village tours are self-guided.
  • We allow four adults free for each class. We require two adults per class.
  • Classes will be asked to divide into two groups. Special education classes will stay together, provided the class is no larger than eighteen students.
  • We have indoor (Limited) and outdoor facilities for lunch provided your students bring a bag lunch. NO FOOD OR DRINK IS ALLOWED IN THE VILLAGE.
  • The village is open rain or shine. Comfortable shoes should be worn, and students should dress according to the weather.
  • Pre-trip materials are sent only after we receive a trip deposit.
