Volunteering at Richmond County Fair!

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS:

  • Visitor Services Team - Volunteers at the main entrance will monitor the flow of guest traffic into the event area, welcome guests to the festival, answer general questions and provide directions, maps, wristbands, and information about the day’s activities.

  • Welcome Team- Volunteers at the Information Booth will guide visitors in site navigation, locating vendors, activities, restrooms, and historic structures. They will also present printed collateral about Historic Richmond Town events and programs and answer basic questions about the event.

  • Wayfinding Team - Volunteers will float throughout pre-designated areas to answer guest questions and provide general information, respond to radio calls for assistance from staff in other areas of the site, and serve as temporary break coverage for various stations.

  • Beer Truck Team- Volunteers with experience or interest in serving alcohol are needed for busy morning and afternoon shifts. Volunteers for this station MUST BE 18 OR OLDER. Volunteers will also aid staff members in beverage stocking and cleaning.

  • HRT Shuttle- Volunteers will help ensure the safe and easy flow of visitation via the Historic Richmond Town Shuttle stops at both the Main Village location and the Staten Island Mall.


Volunteer Agreement

  • General Agreement: I understand and agree that this is not an employment agreement, and that my services are donated, given freely, and without expectation any rights or benefits that would accompany employment.
    The Organization’s Responsibilities: Historic Richmond Town agrees to provide the Volunteer with appropriate supervision, break time, and all training and materials necessary in participation.
    Termination: I understand and agree that all services performed as a volunteer are under the supervision of Historic Richmond Town, and that the organization may terminate Volunteer’s services at any time and for any reason, including, but not limited to the following reasons:

    • Using or being under the influence of drugs or alcohol while performing volunteer duties

    • Failure to follow directions of Supervisor, or failure to comply with the policies and procedures of Historic Richmond Town, including all COVID-19 safety policies

    • Any inappropriate misconduct or reckless disregard for the safety of others, or fraud or criminal acts

    • Any other act or conflict that is deemed to be detrimental to the mission, goals and values of Historic Richmond Town

    • I also understand that my service is voluntary and that I can terminate participation in the event at any time for any reason without consequence.

  • Responsibilities: I understand I am responsible for learning completing all tasks assigned to me including setup and breakdown duties, and will follow all rules as outlined by my supervisor.

  • Media Release: I grant full permission for the organization to forever use, copyright or publish, in any form, photographs, videos, and audios of from me for promotion of the organization’s activities.

  • Confidentiality: As a volunteer at Historic Richmond Town, I understand and agrees that I may work with donor information, staff (including employee, volunteers, interns, etc.) information, visitor concerns and other information which may be confidential in nature. All confidential information, including but not limited to the information of those listed above is to be kept strictly confidential.
